Aku Sorainen, Senior Partner and Founder of Sorainen, the largest law firm in the Baltic States, has joined the Supervisory Board of Vegvisir. His appointment builds on his strong relationship with Vegvisir, having previously invested in the company during two funding rounds.

Vegvisir has supplied the Australian Army with Vegvisir’s Mixed Reality based situational awareness solution to enhance its sensor systems and to enable Army to explore whether mixed reality improves the efficiency of platforms the Australian Army has converted to uncrewed and optionally crewed vehicles.

On January 8, 2024, an important partnership was established between Vegvisir and MKU Limited through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration signifies the next step in taking Vegvisir to the defense technology market.

Our cutting-edge Mixed Reality Situational Awareness System has garnered significant industry attention. Following successful field tests and a demo with the Croatian Ministry of Defence, the Vegvisir system has proven its capabilities on four platforms, setting the stage for a planned product launch in September.

May 2023 has been an eventful start of the month for the Vegvisir team. We are happy to announce that in addition to exhibiting our live mixed reality situational awareness system at ASDA 2023, Zadar, we also conducted a live product demo in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense Croatia and Guards Mechanized Brigade, 1st Mechanized Battalion "Tigers".

Our team exhibited Vegvisir at IDEX 2023 from the 20th to 24th February, where our mixed reality based situational awareness system was integrated onto the Milrem Robotics’ Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV), presented at the EDGE Group stand.

Siim has joined Vegvisir as the Director of Business Development. With his expertise and experience we will be able to establish our Mixed Reality Situational Awareness System in different markets with strong partnerships.

The Estonian-Croatian defence company Defensphere, which was established in 2021, is developing a situational awareness system that will provide armoured vehicle crews with visibility of the battlefield through the armoured wall of the vehicle.
